People celebrated the access they had to people throughout the world, ushering in the era of the ‘global village.’ But nearly a decade into the social media explosion, there’s ample evidence that far from just being a vehicle to keep in touch with long lost friends, it can also be a powerful recruiting tool for Islamic militants.
